WE ARE SEEKING A TECHNICAL WRITER who will be responsible for designing, researching, writing, editing and publishing policy and procedure documentation for the accounting department. The primary responsibility will be to develop and maintain a library of technical documentation, specifications, operations guides, and best practice guides related to accounting procedures and policy. Daily responsibilities will include:
- Planning, developing, organizing, writing and editing operational procedures and/or manuals for the accounting department
- Working directly with accounting department team members to understand the application being documented, creating product diagrams and illustrations as necessary to improve user comprehension and understanding.
- Assessing the documentation needs for the accounting department to provide that information in the most comprehensive way
- Editing existing content to describe policies and procedures
- Researching new topics that may need to be documented
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- BACHELOR DEGREE in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems or related subject IS REQUIRED
- 3+ years of technical writing experience specifically with Accounting and procedural documentation
- Must have experience writing policy and procedure manuals
- 3+ years of experience creating flow charts with MS Visio
- Must be proficient with Excel (creating pivot tables and developing formulas)
- Must possess strong analytical, communication, and organization skills
