Technical Writer

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a TECHNICAL WRITER to join our client in Portland, OR.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Technical Writer will create and/or edit technical documentation including text, illustrations and graphics.
- Technical Writer will participate in planning and coordination meetings related to creating the documentation.
- Conduct spec reading and comparing to test results, creating indicators, archiving test and statistical data for projects moving to sustaining, aiding in bug updates and tracking as well as aiding in AR tracking.
- Be responsible for proactively requesting feedback on document content from the designated functions and incorporate the feedback in the document content.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- BACHELOR\'S OF ARTS OR SCIENCES (BA/BS) IN TECHNICAL COMMUNICATION AND FIVE (5) YEARS OF TECHNICAL WRITING OR RELEVANT EXPERIENCE WITH TECHNOLOGY PRODUCTS.
- TECHNICAL WRITER MUST HAVE EXPERTISE WITH MICROSOFT WORD, POWERPOINT, EXCEL, ADOBE ACROBAT AND FRAME MAKER.
- Ability to apply knowledge of technical communications industry standards, policies and procedures.

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:

- Degree in Engineering Spec compliance
- Validation data review (spec related)
- AR tracking
- Bugzilla tracking
