Technical Training Developer

Reporting to the Technical Training Manager you are required to design and produce adult classroom based technical learning to the very highest standards. The end product is vehicle technical and Product Training for an automotive manufacturer.

The role will involve coursware design, production and delivery

Duties/responsibilities:
* Source information and communicate at a professional level to vehicle engineering and brand personnel
* Utilise CAD data and software tools
* Author text and activities to simplify complex systems
* Design draft graphics/animations to support your work to issue to technical illustrators
* Develop stimulating practical activities
* Produce effective PowerPoint presentations
* Deliver the end product to 'Train the Trainer'
* Work to tight deadlines
* Work under your own initiative with minimal supervision.

Candidate:
You will possibly be a technical trainer currently involved in course design looking to progress into full time development. You will join and work within a established development team environment but will also be expected to work independently; a very keen eye for detail and quality is essential.

To be successful in this role you must have:
* At least 5 years experience in technical training
* Excellent training delivery and facilitation skills
* The ability to prioritise your own workload and deliver to agreed deadlines
* A working knowledge of MS Office programmes
* Strong IT skills in general
* Excellent communication skills verbal and written
* Good organisational and time management skills
* A positive attitude and 'can do' approach
* Experience in XML authoring software (not essential)

Expected qualifications:
* HNC/City & Guilds automotive qualification as a minimum
* Adult learning qualification CIPD/City&Guilds
* Good English, written and verbal
