Technical Support Specialist - Business Intelligence

My client is seeking a Technical Support Specialist (Microsoft BI) to join their team providing Data Warehouse support services. The role is initially for a 6 month contract with the option to look at a permanent position afterwards.

DUTIES:

- Analysis of existing BI solution
- Ongoing management of Share Point
- Ongoing technology support (SSAS, SSRS, SSIS, SharePoint)
- On-going advice and guidance to ITD on Continuous improvement tasks
- Review and Implement coding standards for Microsoft BI
- Design and Develop Minor change requests.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Experience in documenting Support Process
- Minimum 3 Years' experience in Microsoft BI (SSAS, SSRS, SSIS, SharePoint)
- Experience in logical and physical relational database analysis, design and engineering including traditional Entity-Relationship Modelling
- Experience with SQL and other standard database query tools
- Demonstrated knowledge of Relational databases such as SQL Server
- Extensive data warehouse architecture knowledge including star schema, ODS extract methodology
- Self-initiative and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively with business and technical users
- Experience in Administering and Upgrading BI platform
- Experience in supporting Microsoft BI (SSAS, SSRS, SSIS, SharePoint) Platform
- Exposure to ITIL Methodology
