Technical Support

RESPONSIBILITIES FOR TRADING FLOOR DESKTOP SUPPORT:

- Provide end user support for all desktop and network related issues within a large network, including hardware, OS, standard and proprietary software, and printers.
- Technical support to remote users connecting through Dial-up, Internet Citrix, and VPN.
- Organization, coordination, and execution of user and equipment moves.
- Tracking of equipment through asset management system.
- Documentation of work performed through a ticketing tracking system and weekly status reports.
- Work closely with other team members and other teams to resolve technical issues.
- Work closely with end users to provide timely, workable solutions to technical problems.
- Communication to Supervision of any issues that need management attention and problems that impact large numbers of clients.

SKILLS:

REQUIREMENTS:

- Troubleshooting all aspects of Windows XP, Windows 7, MS Office, Internet Explorer, and proprietary software, especially Client Server based applications, database clients and web based applications.
- Excellent customer service skills and focus.
- Ability to troubleshoot all aspects of network connectivity from the desktop.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work as part of a cohesive highly skilled and motivated team.
- Fast Paced Time is of the essence role. Must be assured of their basic troubleshooting skills when working around Traders. Can't be intimidated.
- Must have the ability to lift and carry 50lbs.
- Must work a Flex Schedule and available for on-call duty.
- Must have experience with Executive or C LEVEL Deskside support.
- Must have A/V room setup and troubleshooting experience.

- MS Office 2007 and 2010, especially Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Remote access, including Remote Desktop Connection, Dial-up, VPN and Citrix
- TCP/IP
- PC hardware and printer troubleshooting and maintenance
- Active Directory/Group Policy
- BlackBerry/PDA and Personal Mobile Device (iPhone & Android) Active Sync support
