Our high profile client is looking for a TECHNICAL SOFTWARE SUPPORT ENGINEER in Brussels. Long term contract with great rates.
Job description:
AS AN 1ST LINE OPERATIONAL SUPPORT:
- Daily management of the service request and incidents related to supported applications (identification and assignment to related DevOps).
- Treatments of service requests and resolution of incidents based on defined instructions
- Improvement of tools for automating tasks.
- Monitoring of applications and batch processes.
- Maintenance of monitoring solutions around the supported applications.
- Participate to IT risk management activities.
- Participation on Late shift (16.00-00.00) 1 week/month including on-call during 7 days. (Home Working possible)
- Work during Public and Bank Holidays (Financial Market) possible (1-2 times/year)
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- have a computer science or computer engineering degree or relevant experience
- have experience in applications service management (1st or 2nd line support)
- have strong knowledge in service and incident management
- have practical knowledge of programming and Scripting languages: Unix, Powershell
- have practical knowledge of SQL
