- Acts as the central point of coordination and accountability for not only surfacing, but solving/mitigating issues and risks based for technical release coordination throughout our test environments as well as our production environments.
- Leads the release process to ensure mitigation strategies are in place and reports progress of issues/risks. Aggressively manages issue aging report to ensure timeliness of issue closure. Defines and manages escalation process to manage issues and risks
- Creates communication plans and reports to routinely update program constituents and key stakeholders.
IN ADDITION, THE FOLLOWING SPECIFIC SKILLS ARE REQUIRED:
- Proven ability to manage a defined change process including application, infrastructure, and data changes across multiple environments.
- Proven ability to manage release requirements gathering, planning, preparation, building and notification, keeping all involved people informed about the state of the release.
- Proven coordination and facilitation skills.
- Coordinate and facilitate urgent changes.
- Flexible work schedule in the event of urgent change implementation
- Effectively process changes in our ticket tracking tool
- Compile, maintain and articulate a technical deployment plan
- Use designated tools and experience in MS Office in the development and maintenance of progress reports, issue/risk reports, dashboards, charts, graphs and any communication that will be provide to a large audience.
- Compile meeting agendas and Facilitate technical lead meetings
- Respond timely to change and release management requests
- Ability to follow through in completing assigned tasks
- Ensure release readiness and acceptance including completion of testing, back out testing, adherence of code freeze date and compliance to infrastructure standards.
- Provide subject-matter expertise to the PMO.
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Have a thorough understanding of Matrix management structures; interacting, planning, collaborating and/or partnering with project personnel, analysts, developers, technicians business representatives, corporate executives; work with resource managers in effective personnel utilization
