Technical Publisher

My Client, A leading healthcare organisation based in Cardiff is urgently seeking an experienced Technical Publisher/Writer to join their busy team for a minimum of 12 months.

You will be joining a group that produces and maintains technical documentation that supports products manufactured in multiple locations. This includes products used in science research, such as molecular and cellular biology. This group works with approved content to prepare final, print-ready files. The team is also involved in the preparation of product label masters and maintaining the label database. The group also prepares technical illustrations for the production line, and prepares master art files for product packaging.

The role will cover all aspects of producing print-ready files and digital versions of technical documentation (also known as instructions, pack leaflets, user manuals, and related materials), labels, and packaging.

Skill required for the role of Technical Publisher include:

- InDesign (CS5 or later)
- Adobe Illustrator (CS5 or later)
- Adobe PhotoShop (CS5 or later)
- Label database software
- Desktop publishing
- Proofreading skills
- Self-starter, initiative
- Box design/packaging desig
