TECHNICAL PUBLICATIONS PROGRAM MANAGER CHANDLER, AZ 6 MONTH CONTRACT

The candidate in this contract position will provide Program Management to drive the implementation of a Knowledge Base initiative (including content repository, global search capability, web portal, etc.), to improve access to technical collateral for both internal and external customers.

The candidate will use comprehensive knowledge of technical publication and tools such as a common content repository, global content search capability (PDF, PPT, DOC, etc), web portal, etc. Additionally, as required, the individual will assist Technical Publications in the creation and publication of technical collateral for the division. This may include formatting and editing hardware and software documentation written by Content Developers (Technical Marketing and Development Engineering), using standard templates in Word and FrameMaker. Also publishing to content management and documentation delivery tools (ie Anacapa, IBP).

REQUIRED SKILLS:

- Working knowledge of Technical Publishing process including: InfoFactory, Anacapa, IBP/CDI/VIP, SharePoint
- Familiarity with web portal design
- Familiarity with IPS, HSD, or other bug/issue tracking software database
- Expertise with Adobe FrameMaker on a Windows-based PC (FM version 8 - 10)
- Knowledge of bookbuilding, Conditional Text, Variables and FrameScript
- Adobe Acrobat skills
- Expertise with Microsoft Word, Visio PowerPoint, Access, and Excel
- Create and/or edit technical and non-technical illustrations and graphics
- Experience using database publishing tools and processes desired: CMS, DITA, XML
