Technical Project Manager with Software developer background (C#, .Net, Visual Studio)
My client is urgently looking for a Technical Project Manager with Software developer background (C#, .Net, Visual Studio) to work on a critical project in Norway. A successful candidate will have strong skills in:
5 years as a senior project manager for software development projects
Tools/methods used internally: Agile/Scrum, Visual Studio, C#, .NET, etc.
Team size: 15 global virtual teams, each 4-7 heads
The PM is Reporting to: Dept. Manager for Software Projects.
To be successful in this role, you will need to show proven experience as an experienced PM with SW Development project experience, you are able to focus the organisation on to delivering on time and help the Client to improve structure and accountability in the R&D projects and better forecast resource and time needed for selected projects.
The client is a global company, a leading supplier of advanced simulators for a global market. Their development department is seeking the main Technical Project Manager. The Client is a knowledge-based technology corporation, which primarily targets offshore, marine and other markets.
The role will involve:
Help the Client to structure R&D projects and forecast resource and time needed for selected projects.
Administrate and manage R&D SW Dev projects for different simulator products
Prepare project goals and charter together with the project owner
Motivate the project team to achieve the project goals
Follow up and control of cost, schedules and surveillance of the project progress
Handling of variation orders
Prepare periodic reports, both internal and external
Prepare and maintain a project overview
Contribute to a good team spirit in the projects
Contribute to continuous improvement
Obtain and maintain a good customer relationship and internal relations
Education:
Higher technical education (software or system engineering)
This is a Scandinavian speaking role (Swedish, Norwegian or Danish is preferred) and English speaking role.
