Technical Project Manager, Global Digital Platforms

SUMMARY:

- This is a technical position focusing on managing the day-to-day operations for the Global Content Platform team to ensure the successful creation of a global Content Management and Digital Asset Management solution enable a global central content repository
- Coordinate the activities of a fully sourced operational support staff with the various regional deliver and support teams.
- This position will define the business requirements, create processes, develop support plans, architect solutions, manage partners and provide roll out guidance for an enterprise framework.
- The successful person in this role will be responsible for suggesting improvements, providing technical solutions, standards and governance policies and evolving the global digital platform.
- This role will bridge the gap between the business customer and the technology solution providers by translating business needs into technical solutions throughout the life cycle of the solution.
- Coordinates and/or executes plans to ensure that technical solutions meet the needs of the business.
- Key customers include: various product teams, global markets, key business partners (both within and exterior to the organization), content creators, system administrators, project development team, project sponsors, and business leaders in HR, IT, Operations, and Communications.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

OPERATIONAL SUPERVISION:

- Provides consistent monitoring and support for I/T computing platforms (eg, networks, Servers)
- Ensures the operational (day-to-day) directions are aligned with platform goals
- Leads and manages the operational staff
- Supports planning, testing, deployment, service and support, enhancements, and product retirement for I/T computing platform(s). This includes risk/change management and project management
- Provides input into operational and tactical planning for the portal platform(s).
- Supports and adheres to security standards
- Collaborates with other I/T support groups, management, and vendors for problem escalation/resolution
- May lead and/or manage I/T projects

PEOPLE/RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT:

- Identifies the people requirements needed to meet established goals for the global portal platform.
- Recruits, interviews, hires, motivates, rewards, recognizes and retains a diverse group of talented individuals based on goals and objectives
- Manages, manages performance, and ensures staff development for direct reports
- Provides coaching and mentoring to other I/T team members across platforms as needed
- Manages relationships with vendors/service personnel for the portal platform
- Builds strong relationships between within I/T and the related business teams
- Maintains professional relationships with peers in other corporations and outside organizations
- Drives organizational change and optimization initiatives

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT:

- Responsible for budgets for the global portal platform

SKILLS:

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

- Experience in managing offshore development, QA and support is required, in addition to a sourced hosted infrastructure.
- Experience in providing solutions support at any level.
- The candidate must be a highly organized self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
- 10+ years experience with SLDC methodologies
- 5+ years experience solutions architecting
- 5+ years experience managing technical projects
- 5+ years experience web application design and implementation
- 5+ years experience vendor management in a fully outsourced environment
- 5+ years experience (web) content management systems integration or development
- 5+ years experience in a leadership role within large, complex, global organizations
- 3+ years experience with web analytics (Adobe Analytics/Omniture or Google Analytics)
- Working knowledge of industry trends affecting consumer behavior
- Proven ability to work effectively in managing relationships across all levels of an organization
- Demonstrated strategic thinking abilities and an enterprise-wide perspective
- Ability to influence and drive solutions across all levels of an organization
- Knowledge of secured websites with integrated applications desired
- Technical Product Marketing experiences implementing solutions for Fortune 500 clients of value
- Experience working with a global labor force
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred
