Technical Project Leader

Technical Project Leader - Contract- 12 month initially - West Midlands

I am currently looking for a Technical Project Leader for my prestigious automotive client based in the West Midlands, initially on a 12 month contract.
My client are looking for an experienced technical project leader to join and support a growing team within the Aftertreatment Department.
The successful Technical project leader will have previous project/programme management experience and previous experience working within an after-treatment department.

The day to day responsibilities of the Technical Project Leader will be:
*Design, develop and deliver after treatment systems.
*Draw on support from technical areas of the team, including the technical project manager.
*Schedule Planning and Time management
*Budget analysis and cost management
*Physical Testing
*CAE
*Working extremely closed with the exhaust department as well as the engine calibration team.
*Manage and work with the suppliers of the after-treatment component
*Manage the project from concept right through to production.

The desired skills and experience for this role are:
*Previous experience within project management.
*An understanding and previous experience with after-treatment.
*Good communication skills, both written and verbally.
*Previous experience with gasoline and diesel engine systems.
*Calibration knowledge
*Previous experience of working with suppliers
*Automotive background, preferably with an OEM or Tier 1 Supplier.
