The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for an experienced Technical Operations Manager to join the WorldPay Futures department focusing on the greenfield Clearwater programme which is a new online service from WorldPay.

The service will allow small to medium sized E-commerce businesses worldwide to start accepting payments from their website within hours. The most important change is to reduce our customer activation time from 30 days to less than 1 day.

The projects undertaken within the WorldPay Futures department will literally shape the direction of our online E-commerce offerings and continue to position WorldPay as a global force in the effective movement of money.

What we need you to take on

As the Technical Operations, you will establish an operations framework specific to the Clearwater product and its managed service providers. We will need you to build and manage a team of DevOps Leads and DevOps engineers with a clear focus on Development Operations and rapid time to deployed in-life service.

We will need you to establish a Continuous Delivery pipeline from Non-Production environments to live service, working with engineering leadership to develop and maintain shippable builds.

The successful Technical Operations Manager will need to have management experience within a global online service providing financial trades or transfers; of particular interest are payment companies, merchant providers, financial trading platforms and online gaming.

Desirable experience

Experience in provisioning and management of cloud based services (AWS or similar); in particular, ELB, EIP, EC2, S3, RDS.

Experience of the security aspects of financial trading/monetary transfer systems; including but not limited to PCI Compliance, DDOS prevention, IDS and regulatory audit requirements is an immediate plus point for this role.
