Technical Officer - (Mech Eng, Civil Eng)

I am looking to hire a TECHNICAL OFFICER for one of my Public Sector Client. Please read the below job Specification

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Please note the Client is looking for ideally 1x B&CE and 1X M&E but will consider two of both.

OVERALL PROJECT OBJECTIVES:

- Develop work services to the USVF customer.
- Maintain a safe and legally compliant MOD estate. Checking Installations are correct and to standards etc.
- The Tech Officer Ops/Maint & Project is accountable for ensuring they adhere and conform with all agreed DIO processes and operating procedures and instructions.
- They will have responsibility for liaising and coordinating with key internal and external stakeholders in a multi discipline environment requiring good verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience required in either mechanical, electrical or construction environment encompassing facility/infrastructure maintenance, repairs, injected minor new works & small projects (B&CE or M&E experience).
- Duties may include but are not limited to: Management and procurement of repairs, planned maintenance, refurbishment
- Responsibility for providing support in delivering the environmental, health & safety, estate compliance and assurance portfolio iaw DIO and customer requirements.

TALK ME THROUGH THE CORE RESPONSIBILITIES/OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE

- Reporting to Small u works manager.
- Responsible of delivery of small new works.
- Responsible to checking contractor's adherence to technical standards.

ESSENTIAL AND DESIRABLE:

Ideally background in civil engineering and another in mechanical and electrical.

SPECIALIST ACCREDITATIONS:

Authorized person mechanical systems are highly desirable.

WHAT ARE THE 3 MOST IMPORTANT SKILLS THE CANDIDATE SHOULD HAVE?

- IT literate. Familiar with basic IT systems. Office package.
- Recognized Building Qualification/M&E qualification. (Field of construction)
- Awareness of building regulations
