Technical Manager for Multinational Institution in the Hague/Netherlan

WE ARE LOOKING FOR A TECHNICAL MANAGER TO WORK AT OUR MULTINATIONAL CLIENT IN THE HAGUE/NETHERLANDS.

DELIVERABLE SERVICE:

- Supporting the Project Manager in drafting respective technical chapters of the PID
- Definition of technical requirements, as well as proving realistic estimates for required resources for solution design and delivery phases;
- Defining the IM cost aspects of the project (project costs, transition costs and operational costs);
- Liaising closely with the Project Manager and Senior Supplier
- Managing and monitoring of build, test and deployment activities while ensuring compliance to IT standards (eg security, architecture);
- Escalating any issues impinging the delivery of the project within the tolerances for time and cost to the Project Manager and Senior Supplier;
- Providing documentation in order to conduct and sign off the handover
- Leads the assessment, analysis, planning and design of release packages,
- Engages with technical design and project managers
- Coordinates and manages planning of the system and/or acceptance tests

- Ability to come up with ideas and proposals for enhancements to the products
- Good project management skills including -but not limited to- requirement gathering and analysis, estimating, planning and reporting

- Able to multitask

TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE

- Java programming (including, but not limited to JEE, Web development n-tier technologies and testing tools like jUnit)
- Knowledge of Mainframe (IBM) environment and experience in transition to open Environment
- Knowledge and affinity with software development life cycles
- Deployment and production-level operation
- Test driven development in an agile environment
- SOA architecture
- Performance monitoring
- Maven 2
- Hudson Continuous Integration server
- Nexus artefact repository manager
- Object Oriented modelling and design (UML and Design Patterns),
- JBoss Application Server
