Technical Lead

Yoh has a contract opportunity for a TECHNICAL LEAD to join our client in Charlotte, NC.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- This is a Technical Lead position responsible for directing the design, implementation, testing, control and maintenance of systems and software within the GridMod Solution Delivery Department.
- Provide technical oversight, direction and leadership for large and small complex projects.
- Integrate and leverage technology to deliver solutions.
- Perform technical project work as needed to complete project deliverables.
- Facilitate technical design reviews of proposed architecture and software solution.
- Responsible for implementation of functional design.
- Responsible for installation and configuration of required systems and interfaces.
- Coordinate development tasks and deliverables.
- Coordinate technical testing to ensure product is functioning as designed.
- Provide expertise to anticipate, identify and resolve information technology problems.
- Oversee creation of test plans

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, related field or comparable work experience.
- Six (6) or more years of experience showing and demonstrated competency in developing efficient and effective solutions to drivers and complex business requirements.
- Client uses many are "off the shelf systems" so need a broad range of applications experience (Oracle, SQL, Java).
- This resource will work with teams to configure Servers and get them implemented correctly.
- Possess and apply a comprehensive knowledge of systems and applications programming.
- Ability to quickly and effectively absorb and apply knowledge of rapidly changing IT environment.
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of application and systems design.
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written) and customer oriented focus.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Work independently with little direct supervision

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:

- Prior experience as a technical lead on a large implementation effort.
- Prior experience with all phases of application development.
- Leader in applying established project standards and change Management processes.
- Demonstrated experience managing large, complex assignments and leading small projects.
- Experience developing work and project schedules.
- Prior experience in developing solutions related to Smart Grid technology.
