Technical IT Analyst : Data and Information

Our client is a London Borough looking for a Technical IT Analyst (Data and Information) to join their Business Services Group.

Technical Skills Required :

*SQL Server 2005/2008
*Business Objects XI3.1
*Data modelling

Breakdown of skills:

SQL Server
SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
*Creation of packages using Visual Studio.
*Maintenance of packages.
*Tuning for performance improvement.
*Logging.
*Use of parameters and variables.

SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS).
*Creation and alteration of table and procedures.
*Select, insert, delete and update operations.
*Use of SQL Server built in functions, including date functions, string handling functions, aggregate functions.
*Use and maintenance of indexes.
*Security - creation of logins and users.

Business Objects
*Creation and maintenance of reports in WebIntelligence and Rich Client
*Creation and maintenance of universes in Designer
*Creation and maintenance of users in Central Management Console (CMC).
*Creation and maintenance of security objects, including the use of Custom Access Lists (CALs).

Data Modelling
*Understand data modelling in third normal form.
*Understanding of dimensional modelling using Kimball methodology.

Environment
*Working across various Local Government systems including Housing

This assignment would be paying circa £350 a day.
