Technical / Functional Analyst

The main function of a business systems analyst is to analyze science, engineering, business and all other data processing problems for application to electronic data processing systems. A typical business systems analyst is responsible for analyzing user requirements, procedures and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow and scheduling limitations. An entry level business systems analyst typically has a Bachelors degree in a computer related major with broad knowledge and experience related to computer systems and technologies. As the levels progress, the years experience increase along with leadership expectations, with the introduction of a supervisory role at Level 2. The technical skills, including using computer technology to meet the needs of the organization, increase across levels, starting from basic at Level 1 to expert at Level 3.
We are looking for a Functional Technical Analyst to join the ROMA team (developer + analyst background, NO BUSINESS ANALYST !) :

Main Tasks
- Embraces concepts such as:

° clear acceptance criteria
° clarity of business objectives.

° executable requirements
- Is capable, by experience, to read java and PL/SQL code to understand how existing functionalities are currently working; and is then capable to identify the impacts of new Business requirements on those existing functionalities (VERY IMPORTANT)
- Is capable to elaborate right solutions to Business issues, being pragmatic and customer-oriented
- Masters following modeling concepts:

° User stories
° Information model
° Use cases
° UI mockups
° UML diagram
° User centered design

Tasks and responsibilities
- Analyze business needs, and provide detailed functional specifications
- Analyze existing functionalities to identify impact of new Business requirements; then propose solutions so that existing functionalities support new Business requirements
- Facilitate workshops and meetings with Business to validate elaborated solutions
- Provide functional detailed documentation
- Define correct User stories respecting the INVEST criteria; estimate them with team and prioritize them with Business
- Prepares the Sprint Planning meeting to explain User stories to Scrum team
- Is present in the daily Scrum and is available for questions and delivers instantaneous feedback to the Scrum team
- Validates the acceptance criteria during the Sprint and can offer support during Business Testing
- Helps prepare the Sprint demo/Review

Profile
- Have a minimum of 5 years experience as Analyst + experience as Developer = MUST
- Is capable, by experience, to read java and PL/SQL code to understand how existing functionalities are currently working; and is then capable to identify the impacts of new Business requirements on those existing functionalities = MUST
- Have experience :

° with large teams
° with working in a Scrum environment
° in analyzing complex systems and impact on existing applications and interfaces
- Prefers to be involved throughout the project as part of a multidisciplinary scrum team and not simply upfront during the "definition and kick-off phase"
