Technical Environment & Release Manager - Banking Salary: Investment Banking Salary ( VP level experience ) + Benefits + Bonus Location:London A leading global investment bank is looking to hire a Permanent Technical Environment and Release Manager (E&R) to take a leading role in the release and environment management of a broad portfolio of change for a range of banking applications. The E&R Manager should come from a technical background (eg Development Manager, Test Manager or Technical Project Manager) and be comfortable delivering large scale solutions/releases and facing off to a range of stakeholders in a complex business environment. The main areas of focus of the role are Environment Management and Release Management so experience in the following areas are important, along with an underlying technical/IT appreciation: * Environment Management including: the implementation and improvement of new and existing processes, working with Project Managers to deliver projects whilst managing the test and development environments and ensure effective governance and control. * Release Management including: the management of release of code updates to test and production environments, ensuring changes are effectively communicated and adhere to relevant governance and control standards. Coordination of PM, BA, test and development resources to ensure releases are successfully implemented and efficient solution delivery during service incidents. * Technical/IT knowledge: Good knowledge of enterprise technical platforms and the components of these. Be comfortable discussing underlying technology and design principles with development, test and business teams. This role will be ideal for a E&R Manager who has a good banking/enterprise background as the role is key in driving multi-year transformation programs to deliver an improved technical platform for the bank so will have good visibility and exposure across the organisation.
