We are seeking an experienced Technical Development Team Leader to lead the Technical Team through innovative and challenging technical projects across a range of technologies including C#, Unity 3D and iOS.

This is a fixed term contract for a year paid on a salary with potential to go permanent after a year.

You will lead a dynamic team of software developers, at the forefront of technology - developing G2G3s simulation and serious games platforms for world leading companies. We will require a creative thinker, who can contribute to the project ideas as well managing projects through the software development life cycle.

Responsibilities include:

* Reporting to the CTO you will provide daily updates on project progress, risks and issues whilst escalating where appropriate
* Gain detailed knowledge of all ongoing and future projects, understanding the big picture and how customers will use G2G3 products in the real world
* Responsible for the delivery Technical Projects on time, in full and to the highest quality possible
* Day to day team management including:
o Resource forecasting and management
o Recruitment including interview and candidate selection
o Team 1:1s, appraisal and bonus reviews
o Daily stand ups, weekly Team meetings
o 1st point of escalation of the Team
* End to end Technical Project Management including:
o Bid requirements capture, scoping, estimation and planning
o Day to day management of multiple projects across a diverse range of technologies
o Production of Requirements Catalogues and Functional Specifications
o Project Planning including Waterfall, Agile and Lean methodologies
o Day to day task management of Technical Developers
o Build and Test Management
o Defect Management
o Release Management
o Daily Scrum meetings
o Weekly Project reporting
o Risk and Issue management
o Budget management
o Change Management
o Liaise, coordinate and manage resources across other teams
* Hands on Testing and Technical Support where required
* Liaising with customers for requirements gathering and providing project updates
* Identifying and researching solutions for client requirements, and communicating clearly with the team and customers regarding the proposed solution

Seeking applicants with the following:

* Proven experience in a similar role as Technical Team Leader, Supervisor or Manager
* Previous hands on technical experience in Object Orientated software development such as: C# .NET - MVC, Webforms, WCF, Winforms; C# Unity 3D and/or iOS Objective-C Xcode
* End to end Technical Project Management for small to large scale projects
* Line Management of Technical Developers across multiple technologies
* Delivery of innovative and technically complex Enterprise projects
* An open mind, focussed on creative, simple and robust software development
* A solid understanding of how to apply pragmatic software engineering practises to the production of high quality and robust applications
* Expected to provide assistance and guidance to colleagues in any aspect of software documentation, design, build, testing, release and support
* Willing to undergo CRB check if successful

Desired skills:

* Game design, gamification and simulations
* Previous hands on experience of Software Development Testing including creating Test Cases, Testing, raising/assigning defects and writing test reports
* Delivering project for large scale Enterprise projects for Corporate customers
* Bespoke technical integration with customer systems
* An interest in serious games, simulation, gaming, information visualisation UI and UX would be useful
