TECHNICAL DESIGNER/DEVELOPER (OPAL) (OMP)

Technical Designer/Developer (OPAL) (OMP) required for a large scale implementation program. The Technical Designer/Developer (OPAL) (OMP) will be on a team responsible for development & support of 9 planning and scheduling applications based on packages from suppliers OM Partners & PSI. By combining business knowledge with your IT knowledge and programming skills, you will implement solutions which support the business and maintain those solutions.

Currently there is a plan of plementing a new MES application as well as migrating several planning and scheduling solutions and you will be needed in one or more of these projects. We are looking for people who will fit in this moving and complex environment, who can work independently, but must be team players as well.

THE WORK CONSISTS OF:

- Designing and coding changes in the applications.
- Assisting functional maintenance with troubleshooting.
- Maintenance of interfaces from and to the Mainframe/Oracle.
- Maintenance of planning and scheduling software.
- Keeping technical documentation up-to-date
- Working in projects from a maintenance point of view.
- Working in migrations as a technical consultant and programmer.
- Translating functional requirements into technical requirements for the planning software
- Serve as a (technical) business consultant for the planning software.
- Out of office hours support for the planning systems and interfaces.

PROGRAMMING LANGUAGES:

- Oracle PL/SQL
- OPAL (OM Partners)
- Python (PSI)
- JAVA (Optional)

TOOLS:

- Clearcase
- Eclipse
- Control-M

SOFT SKILLS:

- Dutch language (mainly a Dutch speaking environment).
- English language.
- Must be willing to learn OPAL & Python.
- Good communication skills.
- Hands-on mentality.
- Quick thinker.
- HBO/WO level, preferably in computer-science/mathematics.
