Technical Data Team Lead

My client a leading QLD employer is looking for a Technical Data Team Leader to join their team on an initial 6 month contract basis with extension options.

The Technical Data Team Lead is responsible for establishing the strategies for Data Migration and Disposal, technical design and implementation of the Data Profiling, Data Quality and the Extract, Transformation and Load requirements. They are also responsible for delivery of the technical specifications of the Data Extract, Transformation and Load requirements and ensuring that the business mapping of the requirements from the Source to the Target Data platforms is completed.

THE DATA TEAM LEAD'S ROLE INCLUDES:

- Data migration planning - Development of the Data Migration Strategy, Decommission Strategy, Data Migration Plan, Data Reconciliation Plan and Data Archiving Plan.
- Leading, the technical implementation of and the team of consultants responsible for - the Data Profiling, Data Quality activities and the Data Extract and Transformation specifications and testing.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary internal and external project teams
- The Data Team Lead should work closely with the Enterprise Architect to ensure that the solution design is compatible with the overall Data migration requirements.
- The Data Team Lead should work with the Subject Matter Experts and business users to confirm that the data accurately maps to the customer's business requirements.
- Develop, enhance and deliver Data Analysis services such as Data Migration, Data Quality Assurance and Datamodelling using the software internal to CoGC, to respond to the requirements of the Project and to interact with internal customers in a collaborative team environment.
- Proactively and operationally deliver Data consultancy services that support business and ICT needs for the LGP project.

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

- Relevant tertiary qualification and/or demonstrated experience and substantial knowledge in provision of data migration services in a complex, multi-disciplinary organisation.
- Proven experience gained within a multi-disciplinary function including the ability to provide and seek expert advice, coordinate and manage data analysis activities and resources effectively to achieve work goals to meet deadlines and commitments, and establish and monitor outcomes that meet customer and organisational requirements.
- Experience/knowledge of the application of ICT in local government.
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing data migration strategies and plans to support large, complex systems,
- Demonstrated experience negotiating with business to manage data cleansing,
- Technical skills pertaining to data conversion analysis skills
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with RDBMS including Oracle, SQL and MS Access.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience migrating data from Legacy systems such as Mainframes.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with database programming languages such as PL/SQL and SQL Server stored procedures,
- Demonstrated experience as a Data Lead on a high profile time critical project
