Technical Business Analyst

TECHNICAL BUSINESS ANALYST - 6 MONTH CONTRACT
My financial services client are looking for a Technical BA for an initial 6 month contract based in DUBLIN SOUTH. Excellent opportunity for extension or going permanent at the end of contract.
Responsibilities
- Work with your Product Team to build a product roadmap from sources including Product Management requirements, stakeholder workshops and technical debt lists.
- Work with your Product Team to ensure all requests are appropriately documented and managed within the product roadmap and are traceable through their life cycle all the way to implementation (or rejection).
- Work with your Product Team to ensure that they understand the resulting User Stories and Acceptance Criteria to aid in estimation, planning and execution.
- Produce functional and non-functional requirements for implementation by vendors and review all artefacts with them to ensure they are fully understood prior to development.
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering.
- 2+ year's practical experience working in a Technical Business Analyst role.
- Past experience working as part of a Virtual team.
- Experience of structured analysis techniques and concepts.
- Awareness of API based architecture, eg REST.
- Basic understanding of API message format, eg JSON, XML
- Experience in compiling and maintaining a product roadmap from disparate sources.
- Experience in gathering and writing requirements for web applications.
- Experience in supporting GTB (Grow The Business), for example: facilitating SWOT analysis sessions, presenting feature research results, discussing technical topics with non-technical staff, etc.
- Experience in supporting RTB (Run The Business) functions such as following up on business users enquiries and reports of production issues;
- Solid grasp of IT Security concepts a distinct plus, for example: authentication and password management, encryption basics, OWASP recommendations.
Skills
- Able to absorb and evaluate information from a variety of sources and understand the 'big' picture view as well as the detail.
- Able to plan your own work unsupervised and have the drive and willingness to use your own initiative.
- Able to assist in formulating solutions to business problems and is capable of making decisions.
- Demonstrates clear and effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of staff, both business and technical. (Onshore and Offshore).
- Able to influence key players outside of formal reporting lines.
- Able to manage expectations of multiple stakeholders.
- Able to communicate and negotiate priorities in a multi-cultural environment.
