JOB DESCRIPTION:
My client is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to join their team for an initial 6 month contract role based in Dublin. The role will be focusing on the delivery of their TV service and will build awareness of how the wider business has the potential to impact and interact with the TV service. You will provide the vital link between business and technical solution development and assist with the definition of solution requirements and business processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyzes and validates Business Requirements, Change Requests and Defects to ensure they are complete
- Review documentation on design, delivery and test to ensure end solution fully meets business and technical requirements
- Assists in the development of new processes
- Support and liaise with the Architect and Project Manager in maintenance and updating of technical and/or design documentation to ensure full clarity on how the solution will be delivered.
- Continually seeks to improve the service and reduce issues and manual tasks.
- Awareness of both short term requirements and the longer term strategic roadmap.
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS:
- 3rd level qualification in the relevant area with 5+ years Telco or TV industry experience and expertise in a Technical Business/Technical Requirements Analysis.
- Ability to work as independently and also as part of a team with strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Strong understanding of IT, Internet, Network and Telco industry technologies and also a good awareness of the wider business processes
- Logical and systematic approach to mapping and validating that business requirements are met by a technical solution.
- The ability to understand new technologies to a detailed technical detailed level
- Business/Technical Analysis experience in some of the following areas is desirable;
- software development or test
- technical delivery of a TV service
- mobile or Set Top Box app delivery
- Web Design/Development
- GUI/User Interface Design or Development
