Technical Author/Web Editor - IS&T Communication and Documentation

TECHNICAL AUTHOR/WEB EDITOR IS IMMEDIATELY SOUGHT BY LEADING TECHNOLOGY GIANT BASED IN WEST LONDON.

We're looking for a TECHNICAL AUTHOR/WEB EDITOR to join our Communication and Documentation team. We're a fast-paced, fun team providing employees with high quality writing in the form of HTML email communications and web content.

You'll work with writers, technical experts and instructors to create documentation for end users explaining the use of internal systems, Mac OS and other applications.

The ideal candidate should possess a strong customer service ethic, high interpersonal skills, creativity and appreciates the core strengths that make our products easy to use.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

Experience in copywriting, copy-editing, technical writing.

Able to demonstrate advanced knowledge of HTML & CSS markup.

Creative flair.

Ability to use initiative.

Ability to follow multiple style guides and customer briefs.

High level attention to detail.

Seek out challenges through creatively developing both new solutions and improvements to existing systems.

Deliver thoughtfully written and designed work to maximise communication across a variety of audiences while remaining true to Apple's history of clean, aesthetically !pleasing interfaces and materials.

EXPERIENCE

- Proven experience of using OS X, Mac apps (including iWork)
- Strong organisational skills: ability to organise and complete multiple projects of varying lengths.
- Demonstrate personal coding work/projects.
- Demonstrate personal deign work/projects.
- Flexibility in the face of shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Strong teamwork ethic and customer support focus.
- Fluency in English.

DESIRABLE

- History of using a Content Management System (CMS).
- Working knowledge of a graphics editing application such as Pixelmator or Photoshop.
- jQuery & Javascript, PHP & MySQL skills.
- Keynote creation.
- UI & UX experience.
