Technical Author/Technical Writer to join an exciting company specialising in the high-technology instrumentation sector. With sales on the up they require a capable Technical Author with proven experience of producing high quality documentation. The Technical Author will have ideally worked within an engineering arena (mechanical, electrical, physics). Experience in the petrochemical or oil & gas industry highly advantageous to securing the role. This role offers the successful Technical Author to work from home most of the time. With the occassional visit to Worthing (once or twice a month).

The Technical Author/Technical Writer will have:

- Degree education
- Min 3 years commercial experience in a Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic Engineering environment. preferably oil and gas
- Excellent communication skills, written documentation and spoken
- Illustrator, Photoshop or Frame Maker experience
- Some web knowledge including HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript or similar

The Technical Author will work closely with engineers in developing technical documentation for external and internal training, software & hardware use, manuals and other associated procedures. Also, for writing programmes for an existing electro mechanical product range to sell to customers.
