Technical Author

GFT is seeking a Technical Writer for our client the world leader in Travel IT software.

The Web Services division develops a tool for building and updating customised travel booking applications, used by some of the world's largest on-line travel companies. Functional documentation is provided to travel companies' developers to help them to develop and implement Web Services on their sites. The objective of the role is to review and improve the current documentation, bringing additional clarity and assistance to the customers' developers, and reducing their need for additional support.

This will include:
- Reviewing documentation and functional specifications
- Identifying ambiguities and English language errors
- Writing clear guides

You need:
- 5 years+ experience in technical writing in English, including at least 1 year working in an E-commerce/web development environment.
- Solid experience in the production of Functional Guides
- Experience working with software developers
- A reasonable familiarity with XML code - Experience in an international environment.
