Technical Author

Our client is looking for a well-motivated technical author to write, review, edit and maintain a wide range of technical and business documentation for their new and existing technologically-advanced services, products and systems. This is an initial three month contract, which is very likely to extend. This role will be based out of our client's office in Berkshire, and will involve regular travel to their London office. Both offices are highly accessible and within easy walking distance from mainline train stations.

Essential skills and experience:

- A minimum of three years' technical writing experience.
- The ability to deliver documentation for large or complex projects.
- Expertise in Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat. Familiarity with the MS Manual of Style for Technical Publications is desirable.
- The ability to translate sometimes complex technical information to an audience for whom English is a second language.
- The ability to discuss solutions and business changes with functional experts.
- Experience of learning new technologies and subjects.
- Strong time management and organisational skills, including the ability to multi-task and prioritise own workload.
