JOB DESCRIPTION:
As an Oracle EBS Technical Architect, you will collaborate with the Business Process, Program Management and Infrastructure teams for the ongoing design and development of IT Solutions.

SPECIFICALLY:

- Review design and development efforts for various Oracle E-business Suite FRICEW objects in the Financials domain as a part of a global implementation program.
- Partner with other functional teams like Security and Controls, Business Intelligence, Master Data Management etc. for design endeavors that will require Oracle technical expertise.
- Assist in E-business Suite technical architecture planning.
- Develop processes around and execute deployments that will be repeated across multiple countries.
- A global build was finished last year, it is now in deployment mode and needs to be localized to each country.
- There will be no server level architecture done but still some EBS development work to be done each year.
- This role is not a solutions architect (they have a separate team for that).
- Gap sessions and requirements gathering have already been done by the team this team comes in.
- This team would be responsible for seeing what gaps remain and customizations need to be done.
- This team would review and fix those gaps, do code review, look for gaps, 5-7 years to roll out to different countries.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Utilizes an in-depth knowledge of the business area and applies Oracle technical expertise to determine appropriate solutions to meet business needs.
- Within project area, takes a leadership role in providing consulting and direction to the business
- Provides subject matter expertise to other teams.
- Analyzes change requests to determine feasibility in relation to existing business requirements, processes, and data models.
- Works with project leadership in determining design approach, estimating/planning, setting technical direction, and identifying necessary resources for a project.
- Interfaces with vendors to understand whether vendor products will meet business and technical requirements.
- Maintains in-depth up-to-date knowledge of standards, guidelines, industry trends, etc., for Oracle technologies and Software development methodologies.. Shares knowledge of specialty areas/best practices across the IT enterprise.
- Evaluates, selects and builds the business case for the implementation of emerging tools/technologies in the Oracle ERP and related domains.
- Authors internal technical standards documents and socializes them with various teams in the IT Enterprise.
- Provides input into the enterprise-wide architecture target state for Oracle EBS.
- Collaborates with Enterprise Architects in other architectural areas to ensure comprehensive/cohesive working solutions are developed across architectures.
- Stays up-to-date on business initiatives and objectives, particularly as these relate to IT Enterprise Architecture issues.
- Consults with key stakeholders across multiple projects regarding the usage and application of architectural/infrastructure standards for their technology specialty.
- Assists the business with understanding how to approach a variance to architectural/infrastructure standards.
- Assumes a leadership role in ensuring that new and existing applications abide by current architectural standards.
- Assesses the cost implications and operational impact of a variance from standards and issues an approved variance from standards as needed.
- Conducts audits of proposed infrastructure designs to ensure adherence to current architectural standards.
- Participates in the interviewing process for new team members
- Builds strong relationships between teams within I/S and between I/S and related business teams.
- Maintains professional relationships with peers in other corporations and outside organizations.
- Provides technical mentoring to Project, Program, and/or Process Team Members.

SKILLS:

REQUIREMENTS:

- Over 5 years of technical background in implementing Oracle E-business Suite Applications (11i/R12)
- 1-3 years of customizing Oracle R12 Financials modules, doing Financial data conversions and writing interfaces for Oracle Financials schemas.
- Deep understanding and preferably hands-on Oracle Technical experience on Oracle Applications Framework, Forms, Reports, Workflow, PL/SQL, Java,
- Experience on Oracle SOA 10g/11g,ODI and Oracle ADF (11g and above) preferred.
- Experience in working with source control/migration tools like Clear case/HP PPM and managing multiple code branches/deployments across projects and production support.
- Exposure to the overall architecture of Oracle E-business Suite and its interaction with other Oracle products.
- Familiarity with Oracle AIM or similar methodology.
- Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment of cross functional and cross vendor teams, and deliver to aggressive timelines
- Analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, task and project management skills
- Global Deployment Experience and Prior Consulting Experience a plus.
- This is a purely technical role, not functional: would be open to people with a tech/func background but will need to primarily be technical candidates.
- Looking for someone who has grown through development, consulting experience, large roll out experience
- Experience with a multiple country roll outs would be a huge plus.
- Experience supporting testing events during roll out.
- Must be able to lead design sessions, review technical work, overseeing coding
- Need to have EBS experience
- Previous experience with ADF or SOA would be preferred
- Need someone who has design level experience not just project management. Has done development work but also managing full scope of optimizations.
- Looking for someone who has cycled through large implementations in previous role at least a couple of times.
