Technical Architect, Hosting Specialists

TECHNICAL ARCHITECTS, HOSTING, DATACENTRE, CLOUD, WAN/LAN

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a high profile Government Department for a number of Technical Architects to support delivery of the Hosting Transition and Transformation requirements - to actively contribute to the production of the interim and target operating models, Invitation to Tender, future Contract, Payment Methodology, competition Evaluation Models, transition approach and planning. Applicants should be proven Hosting specialists with the following skills:

-Data Centre Hosting, WAN LAN, Mid-range, VME/MVS Technologies
-Big Data
-Cloud IaaS, PaaS Test Environments; Shared IT Services
-Disaster Recovery/High Availability; Hosting tools and data analysis
-End to End Service Mapping and disaggregated service level agreements
-Audit and Asset Management experience in software and hardware
-Implementing ITIL methodology
-Large scale IT transformation
-Transition planning and large scale IT relocation

Main Duties Responsibilities:

-Responsible for owning; impacting and updating data models; data architecture; data dictionaries; configuration and reference data catalogues
-Work with business leads to gather and document data and reporting requirements
-Design and maintain data models and data integration
-Performing data quality analysis and profiling tasks
-Maintain traceability to business requirements from a data perspective
-Take ownership of data related design decision throughout the delivery; including selection of tools to support data architecture activities
-Ensuring data-specific project activities technically align
-Ensure that the architecture is consistent from a data perspective
-Ensure compliance with data related standards and key architectural principles
-Proven track record of complex projects/programmes with high IT content
-Stakeholder management skills
-Technical exposure to data; Datamodelling and architecture
-Project delivery experience within government
-Experience of management of cost and risk in a technical environment.
-Prince practitioner Oracle supplier experience
-Experience of working with multiple outsourced delivery suppliers
-Track record of delivering network connectivity solutions over a WAN from supplier side to client side within an Oracle enterprise framework
-Experienced IT practitioner with thorough knowledge; understanding and practical experience of Oracle E-business suite
-Proven record of successful Information/Data architecting of major business systems through to operation
