Technical Architect

Will be responsible for performing detailed analysis on data to develop user stories for incorporating the data into Sunrise Data mart. Develop complex SQl for mining data from corporate data warehouse for supporting business analytics and specialized reporting. Review performance analytics of existing ETL to improve proficiency of the daily load process of the Sales reporting data mart. Develop Business requirements for new projects (data analysis, developing user stories utilizing Agile methodology), coordinate and review activities with IT development team and review progress and any related issues with projects. Individuals with motivation and desire to learn and apply business acumen on technical processes are must for this position. Solid communication and working collaboratively within and outside the organization will be key attributes for success.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Write complex SQL for understanding the data various sources.
- Define user stories associated with projects developed under Agile methodology throughout the agile life cycle (definition, development, UAT, deployment and post deployment validation).
- Data mining and ad-hoc complex analysis to support business operations (building complex SQL queries for mining data from corporate data warehouse)
- Represent business on the daily scrum call to ensure that projects listed on the monthly release are on track
- Research and identify areas of performance tuning/scheduling optimization to ensure daily deliveries of data are maintained
- Develop and test scenarios related to monthly projects to ensure accuracy of data
- Project management for Business (coordinating activities between business and IT) for the monthly Agile releases

SKILLS:

- Teradata - proven experience in Architecture, BTEQ (ETL development) and complex SQL development (complex data analysis and ad hoc reporting).
- Strong analytical skills & report building skills using complex SQL on 3nf model Teradata and large Data warehousing - Required.
- Ability to switch between development/architecture and analysis (complex SQL development)
- Unix Shell Scripting
- Linux, oracle, Informatica, Maestro (scheduler)
- Microsoft Excel, Access and Powerpoint, Word, with high proficiency levels.
- Solid experience with Telecom data, specifically Wireless and corresponding billing and CRM platforms.
- SQL Server
- Solid experience and knowledge of corporate data warehouse and the content of information.
- Agile development methodology - fast paced for analysis, development
- Experience with Business Objects Universe Design and SQL server package development and maintenance a plus.
- Bachelors Degree desired
- Must have experience with the following: ASCP, EDI, Java related technologies, Oracle Supply Chain - Financials schema and table structures, Project Management, SQL, Warehouse systems interface
