THE BIG PICTURE - TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:
- 3D Technical Artist
- Animation
- Rigging
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- You will be creatively rigging, skinning, and integrating animation assets for a number of interactive experiences.
- Developing engrossing Real Time and pre-rendered experiences for Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, and other interactive projects
- Basic keyframe- and motion-capture-driven animation pipelines, working closely with animators and outsourcing to efficiently integrate assets into Real Time engines such as Unity or Unreal
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:
- Expertise in 3D animation/rigging packages such as Maya, 3DS Max, etc., as well as in Real Time engines like Unreal or Unity
- Ability to reproduce or mimic realistic deformation and blending is essential
- A strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional character/costume rigging and skinning, as well as any examples of previous animation pipeline tool development
- Experience developing and shipping AAA+ quality games
- 5+ years of work experience as a 3D technical artist
BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- More specialized technical animation skills - cloth sims, particle effects, etc.
- Experience with motion capture animation and systems.
