Technical Analyst/Developer

Contract Term

This position closes at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, March 18th, 2013.

This is a 12 month initial contract with the potential to extend an additional 12 months.Overview

Our Client is seeking a Technical Analyst/Developer to work with browser-based land management software that automates workflow.

This consultant will be the assigned as the primary technical resource on Datawarehouse projects involving this Computronix land management software. This will include areas of: - Design, development, testing, implementation, and support of new and/or modified Datawarehouse workflow functionality using Informatica and Oracle
- Design, development, testing, implementation, and support of integration and/or reporting components using Business Objects
- Documentation (business requirements, technical design documents, support model documents, etc.)
- Knowledge transfer (information sharing with team members and clients).

Role and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Application Support Supervisor, the contract resources will be required to analyze existing workflows and provide Datawarehouse support. Primary duties will include: - Analysis, design, development, testing, implementation and support of Datawarehouse workflows;
- Design and development of complex reports using Informatica/Business Objects (Datawarehouse);
- Working with business experts, application users, and IT service providers to investigate and resolve Datawarehouse issues.

The selected consultant will be responsible for:

- Participating in business process re-design, requirements gathering, and/or technical design sessions with key project stakeholders
- Identifying and communicating potential concerns related to technical design and recommending system approaches or solutions to meet business requirements
- Solving problems and developing creative solutions
- Programming new workflows and/or modifications to existing Datawarehouse workflows using Informatica and Oracle
- Programming changes to system integration and reporting functionality
- Completing Quality Assurance checks for application changes, testing application changes, and working with clients to achieve sign-off for user acceptance testing
- Writing technical documentation based on standard processes and templates for our Client's Application Development Methodology and Application Support Methodology
- Investigating and resolving application errors and/or issues reported by application users
- Sharing knowledge/expertise with team members
- Providing regular status updates to the team, team leader, project manager, and/or supervisor.

Qualifications
Required Skills

- Proven experience with Oracle 10g (or newer) and SQL (5+ years)
- Experience with Informatica 9.x (Datawarehouse) (2+ years)
- Experience with Business Objects 2.x and 3.x (2+ years)
- Experience developing and supporting system integration and system reporting functionality
- Strong communication skills (listening, written communication, and verbal communication)
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work independently.

Desired Skills:

- Experience with Tibco Integration
- Previous work experience with Government Organizations, or equivalent endeavours.
