Role

MEDICAL WRITING

- To own and develop the NICE, SMC, AWMSG and NCPE (Ire) submission documents.
- To work closely with health economist to develop the HTA strategy and value story, and to ensure consistency between clinical and economic sections.
- To convert an existing HTA submission into the format of another HTA body (for example NICE to SMC).
- To assimilate large amounts of clinical data into a clear coherent case for the clinical sections of a HTA submission

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

- To develop a project plan for each HTA submission and ensure that all the required company inputs are delivered on time.
- To organise and chair kick-off meetings and meetings with internal stakeholders aimed to develop and co-ordinate submissions to the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE), the Scottish Medicines Consortium (SMC) & the All Wales Medicines Strategy Group (AWMSG) and NCPE (National Centre for Pharmaco-economics - RoI)
- Ensure all internal stakeholders (brand, region and global) are consulted at the appropriate time.
- Facilitate/organise input into relevant clinical guidelines -NICE/SIGN
- To influence internal and external customers through personal credibility rather than hierarchical authority.
- To work across Therapeutic Areas (TAs) and mini-teams as needed.
- To develop and maintain internal guidelines and processes intended to foster high-quality submissions to NICE, SMC, AWMSG and NCPE.

LIAISON WITH HTA (HEALTH TECHNOLOGY ASSESSMENT) AGENCIES

- To be a technical expert on the needs of the NICE, SMC, AWMSG and NCPE and their processes.
- To respond to HTA bodies' requests for comment or information. To act as a focal point for gathering expert comment before replying to the HTA body.
- To foster compliance and reporting of truthful scientific product information in submissions in line with current NICE, SMC, AWMSG, NCPE, regulatory and ethical requirements.
