Techical Writer for Set-Top Box Technology

This position should support the technology development group to accurately document the end-to-end architecture and main data flows of the complete system that enables our next generation Set-Top Box technology.

The main responsibilities are:

- Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the systems and the documentation requirements.
- Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities.
- Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience.
- Manage the several technical documents needed to describe the systems involved in the end-to-end systems.
- Coordinate with different internal teams and external partners to have finalized and up-to-date technical specifications.
- Make continuous updates to the main internal technical specifications to make sure that they're kept updated, under the guidance of the technical leads.
- Maintain a repository of all relevant technical documentation such that it's easily found and kept in the correct versions.
- The candidate for this position should have previous working experience in writing technical documentation using the following:
- UML (mostly sequence and state/activity diagrams)
- Microsoft Word
- Wiki platforms

JOB DEMANDS

The candidate should have the necessary analytical skills to understand the contents of existing documents and assess their completeness.

The candidate should also be able to grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures.

Knowledge of Software, STB technology, Client Server architectures or Web services is required.

Proven track record of active technical participation in engineering projects, and good interpersonal skills are essential.

Must be proactive and organized, with a desire to continuously improve documentation, process & procedures.

The candidate should be detail oriented with excellent written skills in English.

University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent is preferred
