Team Manager (Children & Families)

My client requires a Team Manager within children and families service, to lead the advice and assessment team, you will manage a team of social workers & fieldwork staff to respond to and provide for the needs of children and families within statutory children's legislation and in line with the department's policy and practice principle, you will ensure that the social work section is of a consistently high standard and meets the needs of diverse communities. You will provide effective management support and individual supervision and guidance to ensure that work within the team complies with statutory duties and requirements and that the quality and standards of professional practice and performance in the Advice and Assessment Team. The Team Manager will allocate work to social workers within the team and provide regular consultation and supervision,promoting high professional practice standards at all times. Ensuring that effective childcare planning takes place in respect of children in need. Also provide for the full participation of children and their carers in the provision of services and the review of outcomes, assist in new service developments with appropriate divisional and departmental staff.To ensure the linguistic, cultural, racial and religious requirements of children and their families are promoted and provided for.To collate statistical information for the department, for the Department of Health and other relevant bodies.
