ARE YOU INTERESTING IN TRAINING TO BECOME A TEACHER?

The Duston School is looking for good honours degree candidates to start training in September 2013, to gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) on a one year Teaching Training Programme and teach in the above successful and popular subjects at Key Stages 4 and 5.

WE WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH:

- A training programme, supported by experienced school mentors and visiting tutors which will equip you to become a successful teacher
- A full-time work based training programme designed to achieve QTS within a 12 month period
- The opportunity to achieve 60 M level credits towards an MA in Education at a later date

THE SCHOOL: The Duston School is an oversubscribed Foundation Trust Secondary School which is larger than average size and has a thriving sixth form. In 2009 the school became a Specialist College for Business and Enterprise, and Science. It has also gained the prestigious Inclusion Quality Mark, the first school in Northampton to do so.

THE CANDIDATE:

- Have a degree in a relevant subject
- Have at least grade C in English and Maths at GCSE level or an equivalent qualification (original certificates will be required)
- Demonstrate an aptitude and enthusiasm for a successful career in teaching
