Teaching Assistant - PRU - Lambeth

**Teaching Assistant**Pru**South West London**

We are seeking Teaching Assistants to work at an alternative provision based in South West London. The centre provides an alternative to mainstream education for 11-16 aged pupils whose needs have perhaps not been met elsewhere. These pupils are referred by the surrounding local authorities, having a variety of Special Education Needs including behavioural, emotional and social difficulties, SEBD ADHD and Asperger's Syndrome.

Ideally you should have strong experience working with 11-16 SEN pupils in small group settings and have good ability to build relationships with students presenting with challenging behaviour. You will be expected to embrace the therapeutic and holistic approach promoted throughout the centre. The classes usually average 8-10 pupils and each class has one teacher and one teaching assistant.

It is essential for the ideal Teaching Assistant to have experience with working in a PRU or an alternative provision!!
