My client secondary school, located on the outskirts of Stratford-upon-Avon, are keen to recruit an outstanding Maths graduate to work as a Teaching Assistant on a long term basis. Being slightly smaller than average and without a sixth form it is home to 760 pupils' between the ages of 11 and 16. The school is housed in relatively modern buildings including a recently redeveloped science and technology suite and extensive sporting grounds. The school is easily accessible by car or using the excellent network of public transport available in the local area.

The school has a culture where all pupils' are just as valued and important as the next, irrespective of their academic achievements. The school has high expectations of its pupils' to achieve and this can only come about through excellent teaching and dedicated support within the classroom. Their Maths department has come on grown in strength since the appointment of a H.O.D two years ago. This appointment has raised the standards of numeracy across all Key Stages and can be seen a beacon of success in the school.

As a Teaching Assistant in their Maths department you will be responsible for raising attainment and developing skills of pupils' in all areas of numeracy and mathematical theory. You will need to be extremely disciplined and able to convert your ability and knowledge in Maths in to practical classroom based solutions.
