Two-form entry Primary School in Tameside requires a talented graduate for a Teaching Assistant role in a Year 6 class!

Are you a graduate with a long term career goal to become a Primary Teacher?

Have you applied for a Primary PGCE or been granted a place for September 2013?

Can you confidently support the teacher of a Year 6 class on a full time basis?

Would you like to work in a busy Primary School with around 320 pupils on roll?

This post requires a graduate with teaching assistant experience, preferably in key stage 2 and is a full time contract until the end of academic year.

A graduate teaching assistant is required to cover maternity in a Year 6 class from the 4th February in my Client Primary School in Tameside. The current class TA will leave her post at the end of this month and the class teacher is looking for a suitable replacement to help support him and work with targeted pupils until the end of academic year.

As a teaching assistant, you will take on full responsibilities of the current staff member including;
**1:1 and group intervention work
**Targeted Literacy and Numeracy focus
**SAT's revision work
**Individual assessments
**Physical Education support

If you have previous experience as a Teaching Assistant and feel you would be suitable for this role, we would love to hear from you. This is a much larger than average Primary School, with around 320 pupils on roll. The School is located in the central area of Tameside, providing a good education to children from varying ethnic backgrounds and cultures. The intake of pupils with EAL and SEN is above the national average and the School take enormous pride in the facilities and care provided to students who require extra support.

This is a full time role and to be considered you must be able to work in this post until the end of academic year.
