Teaching Assistant

Mixed 11-16 High School in Manchester requires a graduate teaching assistant for small group work with Special Needs pupils in KS3

**Working outside the classroom with pupils falling behind their expected grades
**Leading English and Maths intervention on a 1:1 and small group basis
**Following individual expectation plans and monitoring attainment progress
**reporting directly to the Schools Special Needs Co-ordinator on a regular basis

The School has made great strides recently with their behaviour policy and pupils are fully aware of the discipline procedures in place. The pupil premium legislation change and student focused attitude of the Head teacher has created funding for 2 teaching assistant opportunities on an initial temporary basis until the end of academic year.

You will need to have experience of working with children to be considered for this role, ideally you will have experience supporting pupils in a School environment or similar. Any candidates from a related background who have behaviour management or positive handling training we would love to hear from you.
