Tax Supervisor

Tax supervisor required on a minimum 3 month assignment, working onsite a global Pharmaceutical organisation in Cheshire.

Working within the Global Tax Operations (GTO) team. The role supports the Group Reporting & Forecasting Manager and UK Tax Compliance Manager in delivering all aspects of UK corporate tax compliance and Group tax reporting. Responsible for preparing tax returns for the UK, assisting with HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) audit enquiries and assisting with quarterly and year-end tax provision for Group statutory reporting purposes.

KEY accountabilities:

- Plan, prepare and submit the UK tax computations including tax credit claims and UK transfer pricing documentation.
- Assist with review of new and international tax issues including patent box, transfer pricing, worldwide debt cap and Controlled Foreign Companies risk assessments.
- Assist with the preparation of the quarterly and year-end tax provision for Group statutory reporting purposes and ensuring that the Sarbanes-Oxley processes are fully complied with.
- Prepare responses to HMRC audit queries and participate in meetings and negotiations with HMRC.
- Assist with the preparation of representations to the UK Government, on corporate tax policy and administration including responses to HMRC/HM Treasury consultations.
- Liaise with the various accounting departments within the UK to ensure accurate and timely delivery of information required for the tax computations and audit queries.
- Assist with the preparation of the Group's tax forecasts.
- Provide day-to-day tax advice to the UK business.
