Systems Technician

We are recruiting for one Systems Technician or Systems Analyst to join an international IT organisation in Valencia, Spain. As part of a growing technical team, you will be responsible for the maintenance and administration of the Servers and operating systems and directory services. Your experience should include Windows, VMware & virtualisation, MS Exchange and Active Directory. This is an English speaking role and will be based on a 24/7 rota system.

System Technician duties:

. Provide maintenance and administration of the Servers and operating systems
. Help maintain standard configurations, monitoring and analysis tools
. Support the release process, including final testing and deployment of new server hardware, operating systems, directory service and messaging solutions
. Provide related technical documentation
. Tier 1 and Tier 2 support
. Problem identification and solution, especially within the data centres environment
. Mandatory shift work and stand-by services as part of extended 24/7 coverage, plus out of hours duty roster and services
. Other duties as required

System Technician/System Analyst experience:

. You must be prepared to work as part of a 24/7 shift rota.
. 3 years of experience preferably in a datacentre environment
. Good technical knowledge of HP tools such as HP Operations Manager and uCMDB
. MS Active Directory and MS Exchange experience
. Good knowledge of VMware and Virtualisation technology
. HP hardware (BL/DL) and SAN EMC/HP technology experience
. General understanding of Local and Wide Area Network concepts
. Experience with DRBC solutions like VMware SRM is preferred
. Knowledge of Information Security
. ITIL knowledge is highly beneficial
. Microsoft certification is a bonus (MCSE...)
. Excellent knowledge of English (both written and verbal)
. Knowledge of Spanish is desirable but not essential
