Systems Support Cloud Engineer (SC Cleared)

We require a Systems Support Cloud Engineer (SC Cleared) for a 9 month contract role based on a client site in Milton Keynes to start ASAP.

Essential skills/experience required:
Experience of installing, configuring and managing high availability virtualised platforms, including:
VMWare
Hyper-V
Experience of installing, configuring and managing virtual machines within shared multi-client platforms, including:
Windows-based OS (2008 and 2012)
Linux-based OS (CentOS 6.x and Ubuntu 12.x)
Understanding of NFS, NDMP and iSCSI
Active Directory
Experience of installing, configuring and managing various tools to manage and monitor virtual environments.
Good knowledge of unified storage - (NetApp with vFiler DR and MetroCluster experience preferred)
Good networking troubleshooting knowledge, including:
Network Load Balancers (F5 Big IP preferred)
Hardware installation, configuration and management, including:
Blade Technology (HP and UCS)
The ability to work within a team but also individually.
Ability to work within process (knowledge of change control process)

Role:
The Client provide Cloud services across Government underpinned by a number shared hosting platforms.

Objectives
To support and maintain the shared hosting environments to meet service SLA's.
To interface with the project teams on future development of the platform.
Skills transfer and development of Client employees to eventually hand over the role.
The deliverables of this work are:
To support and maintain the Client's virtualised environments and cloud platform.

You will work a standard 37.5hrs per week Mon to Fri between the hours of 7.00am and 7.00pm and may be required to participate in an On- Call Rota too.
