Systems Support Administrator

Our Client is an established organisation within Australia supporting a medium size User base from the Sydney CBD.

The opportunity exists for an enthusiastic mid level systems administrator with specific Windows and VMWare experience to help support their infrastructure in an initial 6 month contract capacity with the possibility to extend, and/or the possibility of going permanent. We can't promise this though.

Your role will involve systems administration, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting network issues, implementing solutions, documentation and some project work. A considerable backlog of pending issues and requests has built up to as the current focus is on project work as opposed to BAU.

To be considered for this role you must be an extremely experienced and enthusiastic level 1 to level 2 administrator who shows sufficient drive and initiative to work autonomously with little need for hand holding.

Wintel Server 200/2003/2008 server implementation and Administration
 VMWare ESX and SAN Technology experience (preferable)
 IBM iSeries Midrange Servers
 Microsoft Exchange 2003/2010 - Active Directory 2033/2008
 Blackberry RIM and iPad tablets
 Microsoft Development Applications
 Cisco Network Devices
 Excellent verbal and written skills
 MCSA/MCSE/CCNA or other industry recognised qualifications
 Minimum 2/3 + years commercial experience working in IT Support
