Systems Support

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Install and configure Servers
Install and configure network devices
Re-image workstations, perform backups, write documentation
Accurately identify the nature of systems and user problems, prioritize, and resolve in timely manner
Manage crisis situations and assist in projects as needed

SKILLS:

COMPETENCIES:

Solid understanding of key infrastructure technologies (storage, networking, etc.)
Microsoft infrastructure experience
Ability to recognize priority issues and act accordingly
Ability to learn new processes and procedures
Solid communication skills including writing documentation

QUALIFICATIONS:

B.S. or an Associate Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience or relevant MCP certification(s)
Sufficient knowledge of IT operations, responsibilities, workflow processes, and procedures to resolve most inquires independently
2+ years in PC hardware/software setup or support environment; 2+ years experience in PC configuration design and management.
Good analytical and communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work effectively with users and other IT team members.

REQUIRED:
TCP/IP, Windows networking, Windows security, Windows Printing, Windows server 2003/2008, and Windows 7.

PLUS:
Active Directory, PC imaging, Scripting and automation, Backup Exec or similar, Lotus Notes and Domino, LAN & WAN technologies, VPN.
