We re looking for candidates with solid IT security controls experience and strong time management skills.

This Systems Analyst will participate on a large-scale engagement of company activities under the supervision of the Information Security Specialist. S/He will assist in the execution of a detailed assessment of core application source code storage practices and security. Develop and maintain client relationships, assisting in explaining the process and scope, keeping management apprised of progress and issues, and effectively delivering the results.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Assist in preparation for conducting a detailed review of the environment source code storage and management.
- Develop a work program, in consultation with Information Security Specialist, for efficient assessment of the environment.
- Execute areas of a project under supervision, specifically reviewing and documenting the following:
- Types of source code in use
- Storage mechanisms
- Security and access rights of source code
- Inter-system communications, including encryption in use
- Database use and security
- Inventory of applications specific source code locations (datasets used, configuration, etc.)
- Document results in work papers ready for review.
- Inform Information Security Specialist of project status and results.
- Interact with management to assess findings including control weaknesses.
- Keep leadership informed of findings, and assist business partners with the development of remediation activities to mitigate weaknesses, and evaluate adequacy of managements response.
- Where appropriate, evaluate corrective action taken.
- Maintain business relationships with appropriate levels of management.
- Possess good written and oral communication skills and demonstrate these skills during the process to the appropriate level of management.
- Demonstrate understanding of the clients strategic vision, be proactive in promoting this strategic vision.
- Interact with project team members in working towards GIS goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or management information systems
- 3-6 years of IT security controls experience
- CISSP certifications highly desirable
- Demonstrated knowledge of Information Security, Information System Operations, Networks, Database, System Software, Hardware, and Application Development controls
- Exposure to information security and change management controls strongly preferred
- Exposure to CA-Endevor, RACF and Clearcase preferred
- Experience evaluating system controls associated with complex business applications
- Strong time management skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Good analytic, organizational and presentation skills
- Must sit onsite in Foster City
