Systems/Project Accountant

Due to structural changes within the business my client is recruiting for a Systems Accountant for a 6 month contract based in Chesterfield.

Due to the current system in place not being fit for purpose for the business, the Systems Accountant will be working along side the SAP/ERP project team across IT and finance to work together to migrate data, check journals and improve the current operating system and how this produces financial reports.

The System accountant will be required to;
- Input and move journal entries
- Give financial input within the team on how the output of financial information should come across
- Understand pressures with ERP
- Work and interpret missing information and understand and translate information
- Understand how journals will work with the new system
- Handle financial data efficiently
- Perform V look ups and macros on excel
- Write process documents for finance department

The successful candidate will have the following skills experience;
- SAP implementation knowledge or experience
- Excellent excel skills
- Calm approach
- Understand financial concepts
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Collaborative working
- Ability to train others
- Good understanding of ERP systems
