Systems Programmer

We are looking for a Systems Programmer for a 5 months contract position in Alpharetta, GA.

Responsible for customizing and supporting Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) products currently based on Java J2EE technologies but possibly changing to other technologies. Primary responsibilities will be customizing and supporting a Service Catalog product, which includes ongoing maintenance and 24x7 on support. Experience with Java or .NET and experience with application Servers is required, along with a broad range of Web development experience. We're looking for someone who has strong technical skills, but who is technology agnostic and is willing and able to learn new products and technologies quickly to adapt to a changing environment with the goal of solving problems. Good interpersonal, communication and customer focus are also required. 

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

Required  
§ Minimum 4 years of related IT experience
§ Requires knowledge of the following technologies:
§ Java J2EE or .NET application development experience, preferably with exposure to both technologies
§ XML/XSL
§ Experience with developing web services
§ Excellent SQL skills & relational database Servers with SQL Server experience preferred
§ Experience with Application Server technologies - ie JBOSS &Tomcat preferred.
§ Experience with Windows Server platforms
§ Ability to support and customize commercial off the shelf (COTS) products
§ Experience with code migrations/promotion through various environments
§ Experience applying software upgrades

Preferred 
? Knowledge of Active Directory APIs
? Understand how SSL certificate works.
? Experience using IDE's, preferably Eclipse. 
? Experience with code management systems 
? Experience converting from one technology platform to another
