Systems Engineer - Mechanical

Our global construction client are in the market for an experienced Mechanical Systems Engineer with strong, Trade Studies, Sub System, requirement management and spec building skills.

This position will be responsible to assure that all design engineering program deliverables are delivered on time and to the appropriate quality specifications. A systems engineer from a defence or security cleared background would be ideal.

The program is currently a systems design study phase program, and as such will hold 7 design reviews by the end of 2014. Each of these reviews will deliver a set of work product documents to the customer for review and approval prior to the completion of each design review milestone.

Typical deliverables include, systems trade studies, Subsystem functional specifications, and customer platform modification drawings, among others.

The core of the work product will be generated by the design team core members. The lead engineer will be responsible for assuring that each deliverable document is being developed on schedule, and produced in it's native form, by the design team. In addition, the lead engineer will be responsible to assure that the delivered documents are formatted properly, configuration managed, and generally up to the customer quality standards.

The systems engineer will work directly with the document controller, technical writer, and the document production lead to assure that the native design team inputs are finalized, reviewed and configuration managed prior to customer delivery.

In addition, the systems engineer will manage the incorporation of customer comments into the updated documents after each review submission.
